I guess when you close your restaurant for the season on the Cape, you remove the middle part of your sign, tuck it under your arm and walk away saying, "That's it..I'm not gonna play anymore!" PapaDunes posted a photo:
Snapped this one at Drummer Boy Park in Brewster, MA PapaDunes posted a photo:
Saw this yesterday on Rt. 6A in Brewster, MA. If viewed large, you will see that all of the apparitions are wired together with lights and I imagine that this would be a terrific nighttime photo. Perhaps someone has already captured that. If so, I would love to see it. Or, maybe Joanna could be persuaded to take a ride over some evening to capture it for us when the lights are on.
It's located at Michael's Cottages, Bed & Breakfast.
Whomever is responsible for creating it, the craftsmanship is excellent. PapaDunes posted a photo:
Rt. 6A is just inches to the left of the photo. The fence was taken down last year probably because it was such a nag to keep painted.
But prior to its removal this was always such a welcome scene to greet young and old to another Summer on the Cape. The children's beach buckets seemed to go on endlessly. Igor Clark posted a photo:
