Really. You can name this band. They really don't have one.
Found loitering on the sidewalk outside their recent gig at The Bleachers in Hancock, Michigan. gvsu86 posted a photo:
This light is located at the west end of the Portage River on the Keweenaw Peninsula. (Lake Superior). Taken this summer from McClain State Park. mblaanz posted a photo:
We visited the Quincy Mine in Houghton. Like I said, there is amazing history in this area of the state. We wanted to tour a copper mine to see the history more close up. gvsu86 posted a photo:
This is actually the third bridge to connect the Keweenaw Peninsula to the rest of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It is currently the only connection to the main land. It is across the Portage Canal and Lake which forms a short cut to the Keweenaw Bay. This bridge was built in 1959, shortly after the Mackinac Bridge opened in 1957. Next year is its 50th anniversary. larrysphatpage posted a photo:
This is a shot of the city of Houghton, MI, taken from atop a hill in Houghton’s sister city of Hancock. Since the elevation rises so quickly going north of Hancock, the spot where I took this picture is easily 300 feet above Portage Lake (which separates the two cities) and less than ½ mile north of it. The campus of Michigan Technological University is to the far left, with the downtown area and the Portage Lake drawbridge in the center. erich.ottem posted a photo:
