as Mil y Una Noches (en árabe, ألف ليلة وليلة Alf layla wa-layla —lit.
as Thousand and One Nights (in Arabic, ألف ليلة وليلة Alf Layla wa-Layla-lit. Thousand Nights and a Night-in Persian, Hazar-o yak Shaba) is a famous collection of tales from the Arab East Middle medieval technique that uses the framing of the story or mise en abyme. The core of these stories is formed by an ancient Persian book called Hazar Afsâna (Thousand Myths) (in Persian هزارافسانه). The compiler and translator of these stories into Arabic is supposedly the storyteller Abu abd-Allah Muhammed el-Gahshigar, who lived in the ninth century. The main story on Scheherazada, which provides the framework to other stories, seems to have been added in the fourteenth century. The first compilation arabic modern, developed with Egyptian materials, was published in Cairo in 1835.
They are stories that emerge from one another, that is, to include one suddenly emerges another and another that creates another tale ending to the first, as in other boxes locked boxes. In the first, is that the Sultan Shahriar discovers that his wife betrays him and kills. Believing that all women are just as infidels ordered his vizier to find a wife every day, a daughter of his courtiers, and then ordered to kill her in the morning. This design is horrible broken by Sherezade, daughter of the vizier. She is a plot plan and carry it out will be offered as the wife of the sultan and the first night surprise the king succeeds tell a story. The sultan was thrilled with the story, but the girl interrupted the story before dawn and promises to the final the following night. Thus, for a thousand nights. In the end, she gives birth to three sons and after a thousand and one nights, the sultan commuted the sentence and live happily (which closes the first story, that of the Sherezade).
