Wesley Newton, a 13 years old, 8th grader of Hahira Middle School, Valdosta, Georgia, represented U.S.A. for the 5th Annual International Exhibition for Young Inventors held in Taiwan between September 25 - 28, 2008.
What a wonderful invention of Sock Assist Stick Wesley presented. Wesley was very popular among all young inventors. They called him... Mr. U.S.A.
Absolutely the most delightful (Charming too, of course.... as per "Grandma") young inventor of America. Great job, Wesley!!
This is from Wesley:
"My trip to Taiwan was fascinating and unforgettable. When I first arrived I did not know what to expect. But soon, I got used to its people, and started to have tons of fun. I liked seeing and trying all the unique foods and learning about their culture and beliefs. The exhibition I participated in very interesting. I liked going around and looking at the variety of neat inventions and meeting the student inventors. It was intriguing to see how they dressed and to learn a little about them and their country. It was very fun talking to all the competitors and sharing information. There were 13 countries there including U.S.A. that I represented. It was a great experience that I probably will not ever forget and that I hope I get a chance to do again."
