Mountain Park was a quaint traditional amusement park located off Interstate 91 in Holyoke, MA just north of Chicopee & Springfield. The park had a great wooden roller coaster originally called the Mountain Wildcat when it opened in 1929, and later renamed the Mountain Flyer. The park closed in 1987 but remnants of the park still remain.

CSX train Q669 heads down Chicopee Hill with CSX C40-8W 7765 and SD50's 8570 and 8584 as power on May 5th 2008. Brakeshoe smoke can be seen coming from the first few cars (didnt smell too great!) as the train slows after flying down the hill. Directly behind the power are several KRL heavy duty flatcars carrying windmill parts from a factory in Pensacola.

Finally getting around to uploading my Chicopee Signal video's, just got a external so i have space to store all the raw video. First up Northbound Coal train smokes it up as it climbs the hill with a unusual consist for a coal train. Night falls and we see a late running Q669 descend the Hill with a real treat, two SD40-2's one still in Conrail paint, the SD40-2's scream to lift the train over the crest and the quickly notch down as they come over the top.
